Parish nursing is part of St. Luke's ministry. The Care Cabinet, who oversees the Parish Nurse also offers health-related activities for the congregation and the community and the services of the Parish Nurse are available to all who ask.
The need for a visit varies based on the assessment of the illness or concern and can include prayers and support, advice and discussion regarding family matters, newborn issues, bringing groceries to shut-ins, you name it. Onsite visits can be in hospital, agency or private home.
Blood pressure clinics are held twice per year immediately after the morning services. Physicians and registered nurses measure the readings and when necessary counsel the individual for follow-up care. The Care cabinet also offers healing and prayer services.
Health related seminars/sessions are offered throughout the year.
